Canada. The largest wildfires are in Canada.

The same weather pattern that is bringing us the cooler weather is also bringing the smoke.

Code Purple is a health warning of emergency conditions. Everyone will be affected by going outside.

I woke up with crusty eyes. I thought I was getting an eye infection but probably the air quality as I left a window open.

When we went outside this morning (arlington) I faintly smelled smoke but maybe a neighborhood fire as I can’t imagine smelling the fires this far away.

Turned on my rabbit air, was code red on indicator. Awful timing because we are having flood restoration indoors. Guess I will leave Rabbit Airs on turbo all day

I am in NoVa (Bristow) and I smelled the smoke. I thought I was crazy, but it is the wildfires. PPs are right - this is cancer causing smoke we are breathing in. wear a mask if you must go outside.

22203 and air quality has vacillated between 196 and 204 all morning. 200 is the cutoff for Code Purple. Sports leagues and swimming pools are closing for the day, Parks and Rec and school systems are cancelling outdoor things.
