Is it weird that contractor’s GF poops in my powder room?

Sorry but it’s not my job to clean up other peoples poop.

I would ask the contractor to come and clean up after his girlfriend. And then next time say they can’t use the toilet. They can find a McDonald’s or a gas station

This thread has brought out the classless, racist, low-intelligence, social strivers. You are no better than the contractor, his girlfriend, or really anybody. OP: she is a human being, who probably has a very good reason she is there with him. And, like many people, cannot time when she has to go. Be a normal human being and understand that we are all in this world together.

Inside the bowl where the poop is supposed to be or somewhere else? Did you expect her to go through your cabinets looking for cleaning supplies? If it was on the seat, sure, I’d be upset if she left a mess. But if it was a normal use of the toilet, and she flushed, but didn’t scrub the toilet after using it, I can’t imagine being upset. That’s literally what toilets are for.

I guess YMMV, but I don’t think it’s OK to leave skid marks in someone’s home toilet. I’m a little surprised you think that’s OK.

For the record, there were stains in the bowl, and there was something on the seat, but I didn’t over analyze.

Did you have a toilet cleaning brush available? I don't think you should leave a toilet dirty (even your own) but there aren't always cleaning supplies available. (Crohn's sufferer here)

I'll add that I do agree with PP that people have too much of a hangup over it. If's more gross to clean up somebody else's poop (I even clean the toilet before the cleaners come over) but it's also not the scandal people make it out to be.

In my powder room I have cleaner and a brush in the cabinet, yes. Also, there is a tube of Clorox wipes on the counter.

Maybe leave the brush out next time she comes in. And obviously the wipes aren't going to help the skid mark situation, although she should have taken care of the stuff on the seat.

My brother complains that his staff either has to drive to McDonald’s or go to the bathroom or has to pay for a jiffy John because of people like you.

Ffs! People have to poop at work. Yea sometimes it’s big and leaves a mark.

What is wrong with you people.

Would you expect your H’s work to treat him the same way you treat this person?

Portapotty comes with the territory - letting a whole crew and potentially their SOs use your toilet for the duration of project isn’t expected. Tell your brother to stop whining.

I agree with the SO part, but otherwise you really should just let workers have the dignity of a flushing toilet even if you technically don't have to. It's just as rude to deny them that as it is to leave a toilet messy.

Oh course but when people want to cut costs and my brother says u can cut the portapotty, ffs your house is being demolished and dust is everywhere but humans can’t poop in your bathroom.

Y’all have issues.

Plus the SO might be doing paperwork in the car, or helping at other properties.

Next it will be friends and then friends of friends. One thing leads to another and suddenly you are running a truck stop.

It’s just that I’ve never had a contractor (or their GF) poop when they ask to use the toilet. She did this on two separate occasions when she was with him while he mowed my lawn (which were short visits).

This time, she even left the toilet messy. 😵😵

Again, apologies.

Not asking for advice. 😝😝

(Yes, I will let anyone use my bathroom.)

I’m going to post a review on their page with a picture once the warranty is up.

^Wow, PP!

I’ve been a homeowner for nine years. Over the years, I’ve had many people (men and women) in my house to do work. Many times they’ve used the toilet. I’m pretty certain that this is the very first time someone left my toilet a mess.

Also, if she has IBS or something like that, why travel with your SO as he works, ensuring you have to poop in a bunch of strangers’ bathrooms??

You sound actually considerate. I'm sure you don't prefer to be caught out and about and I sympathize. and I'm sure you also clean, cover up the "different kind of evidence" - Noise?

Yeah, I have IBD and often I have to run to the bathroom, and I hate the idea that "people should poop only at home!" But I still don't like going to the bathroom away from home, and especially not in others' homes, and I make an effort to limit how frequently that happens. If I'm feeling especially funny on one day, I stay home.

Also, not to get too gross, but I think if you have IBS and IBD you don't typically leave skid marks. If you really really can't wait your bathroom emissions leave a different kind of evidence.
