Is it weird that contractor’s GF poops in my powder room?

I find it’s weird she is there, but I really do not get the hang up people have about pooping in toilets. She made a mess….in the toilet. Spray a little cleaner in there, use a brush and flush. It’s not like she pooped on the floor.

Sorry but it’s not my job to clean up other peoples poop.

I would ask the contractor to come and clean up after his girlfriend. And then next time say they can’t use the toilet. They can find a McDonald’s or a gas station

Come on, do you not poop? Have you never had to go at an inconvenient time? We need to be gracious to others and their bodies. That’s true class. Pretending that you don’t poop and bodies should be perfect is not classy, it’s just delusional and bullyish.

That is not at all the point….or a point that anyone is making.

The first time they used the downstairs bathroom and my husband had to tell him that we aren’t maids and aren’t going to clean his mess. After that, the contractors used the new bathroom they installed and left piss and poop all over it. I called the office manager and complained, but they are disgusting people. I’m going to post a review on their page with a picture once the warranty is up.

^Wow, PP!

I’ve been a homeowner for nine years. Over the years, I’ve had many people (men and women) in my house to do work. Many times they’ve used the toilet. I’m pretty certain that this is the very first time someone left my toilet a mess.

Also, if she has IBS or something like that, why travel with your SO as he works, ensuring you have to poop in a bunch of strangers’ bathrooms??

Inside the bowl where the poop is supposed to be or somewhere else? Did you expect her to go through your cabinets looking for cleaning supplies? If it was on the seat, sure, I’d be upset if she left a mess. But if it was a normal use of the toilet, and she flushed, but didn’t scrub the toilet after using it, I can’t imagine being upset. That’s literally what toilets are for.

1. Grass mowers should come and go and never even interact with the homeowner, never mind use the facilities.
2. It's very unprofessional for the girlfriend to be there.
3. AND I'LL REPEAT THIS FOREVER- People with IBS, unpredictable needs are exactly the messy pooping people nobody wants in their homes, workplaces, shops. The messy ones ruin access for everyone.

+1

Everybody has to use the toilet sometime. If someone is at your house and needs the toilet, the humane thing is to let them use it. Sometimes they need to do bowel movements. If it didn’t all flush away, flush again and/or clean the toilet. As long as they are using the bathroom as intended and not doing something deliberately disgusting, I don’t think there’s an issue.

I say this as a germaphobe who, whenever someone outside of family uses the toilet, will use the other bathroom until I clean the toilet and change the towels.

I guess YMMV, but I don’t think it’s OK to leave skid marks in someone’s home toilet. I’m a little surprised you think that’s OK.

For the record, there were stains in the bowl, and there was something on the seat, but I didn’t over analyze.

Why is a GC mowing your grass? That is very weird.

Yeah, I have IBD and often I have to run to the bathroom, and I hate the idea that "people should poop only at home!" But I still don't like going to the bathroom away from home, and especially not in others' homes, and I make an effort to limit how frequently that happens. If I'm feeling especially funny on one day, I stay home.

Also, not to get too gross, but I think if you have IBS and IBD you don't typically leave skid marks. If you really really can't wait your bathroom emissions leave a different kind of evidence.

Did you have a toilet cleaning brush available? I don't think you should leave a toilet dirty (even your own) but there aren't always cleaning supplies available. (Crohn's sufferer here)

When my kid was little I had a baby sitter for her that pooped in my bathroom every time she was over. It was odd.

If someone comes over to watch my kid, presumably for a few hours, it seems pretty normal to use the toilet. Why do you find this odd? [/quote

I honestly cannot believe people think that someone watching their children, in their home, shouldn't use the bathroom. How do you people function on this earth timing when you have poop? Do you hold it in all day? That is so unhealthy.

In my powder room I have cleaner and a brush in the cabinet, yes. Also, there is a tube of Clorox wipes on the counter.
