Real Housewives of DC = Real Housewives of NoVa?

Most of the women on the shows are nuts, but I do love Bethenny Frankel.

That's good enough for me .... The Market Common of Clarendon, the U.S Supreme Court, it's all the same ....

Wow. Get over yourself already.

One of the funnier things about the Salahis is that they don't even live in the DC burbs they live in Front Royal! But, of course, they call it their "country house" which implies that they actually have a place in the city, which, they do not.

I hate to give those 2 anymore publicity but I am sure I will watch.

DH and I got trapped at Cure downtown a year ago by filming. Way to spoil a date night. We had no idea what it was at first. Honestly looked like a softcore porn casting for emaciated women with discount mini dresses, bad weaves and a vaguely hairdresser-looking (equally thin) black guy with a bad (flaming orange) dye job. Later found out he was potentially a house husband. I kept looking around for Borat. It was so surreal and un-DC, DC Metro like. Even in Vegas the ladies would be considered tacky.

I'm actually a fan of RH original concept. What was so funny about original OC was how obscure the locale was and how naive some of them seemed to be. The fame for fame's sake seemed almost sweetly aspirational.

Since then, it's all about business promotion. Which I applaud in theory, but I think it takes the fun out of it. That's what made Atlanta kind of boring, other than Kim's shi tzu wig. RHNJ had unfortunate timing of going before Jersey Shore which stole all the fake-tan Italian-and-proud limelight. ITA that Betheny was best part of RHNY precisely because she was in no way a housewife. Although Alex and Simon's kids' schooling episode was HILARIOUS and so DC. "I know everyone says their child is special, but ours really are.."

Of course I'll watch DC, but I'm prepared to be bored.
