| Cramped little townhouses don't make for good TV. |
|
Maybe because:
The DC housewives are too ugly. The DC houses are too small for camera crews. The DC housewives mostly work from dawn to dusk and don't have time to lunch, shop, volunteer, party, etc... use your imagination. I would chalk one up to 'burb dwellers'. p.s. I've been both..a DC hw and an 'urban' NOVA hw. |
Our cars haven't left the driveway in 2 weeks. We have to periodically start them just so the batteries don't die. Not having the need to drive anywhere or depend on a car is an urban lifestyle. You couldn't say the same about so many of the upper NW neighborhoods which have zero walkability and no Metro. |
Geography lesson for you...Atlanta is located in the state of GA which shares borders with 5 other states. However Atlanta is not situated in close proximity to the five other states. Washington DC (not a state) is actually bordered by 2 other states therefore making the real housewives dc scenario a bit more reasonable. Its a show on Bravo, not sure why locale is so important to you. They try to cast the most interesting people because that is what people want to see. Believe it or not DC is not the center of the universe! |

Is it on yet? Has anyone seen it?
WHO is on it? Can we stop dissecting NoVA vs. MD vs. DC?
|
| Premiere is August 5th! Can't wait. RH of all locales, except Atlanta is my escape for the week. I have never been able to get into Atlanta. |
| I know one lives in Mclean, and I think the blonde who hijacked the President's dinner lives in Middleburg. Where do the other cast members live? |
agreed! |
I know so many students at priv ate schools in DC with bad teeth. None were at our public elementary in NOVA sans braces. |
guess they can't afford braces after paying the 30k/per year per kid for tuition and mom's quarterly botox appts. |
| Do you really think the rest of the country watching the show gives a crap and makes a distinction as to who lives in the actual city and who lives in the DC metro area? No one cares but you. Enough already - get over yourselves. |
I'm wiling to bet that the OP is the same one that posted about banishing 'burb dwellers' from this board last week. Hey Parma, we are here to stay! |
|
Team Bethany!!!
I love this trash! It is such an escape for both me and my high-income earning, college educated, executive husband. Commentary above added as a pre-defense for anyone tempted to declare that the only people who watch RH are redneck wanna-be's who live in trailor parks and have no front teeth....NOT that there's anything wrong with that! Plan to Tivo it, just as I Tivo OC, NY and NJ. Cannot get into Atlanta either. |

So funny how D.C. thinks it is it's own entity when talking about this area. Get over yourself. We paid more for our property, anyway, if you want to be such a snob about it. |

Ugh. Do we really need to revisit the DC vs. DC metro area argument so often?
It's so funny that people who live within the DC line get so up in arms when anyone from the DC metro area claims to be "from DC." Are people from within the DC limits so stupid that they really don't understand why people from the DC area include the surrounding burbs, which happen to include the bordering states because DC IS NOT A STATE?!?! What's so funny is that it's always the transplants from Parma that get pissy about this... |
