2024: If Trump v Biden, Biden sleepwalks to landslide victory

Trump proclaimed his vicotry in 2016 a "landslide" - given Biden won the popular vote and matched Trump's victory via Electoral College, one could claim it was, in fact, a landslide.

That said, there are a couple of states that Biden didn't win in 2020 which could be more in play for him in 2024, wheres a path to victory for Trump, given PA, MI and WI currently, is much, much tougher.

Not without ‘help’. He’s messing with gas tanks, children and homes. He will get more bold and radical over the next year.

In English, please?

What "help" -be specific.

Of course. The swing states still decide it and trump has done less than zero to get any additional votes in those places.

Correct. But Biden also isn't going to flip any states he lost in '16. That's why the Dems, for now, need to focus on solidifying and increasing their victory in the states Biden won in '20 (to tap down on the stop the steal whiners).

In the future - Dems should focus on NC...which is a tough state b/c it's gone demographics that are favourable to the Ds but also Demos that despise them. Long term - maybe Texas...but for that's way too heavy a lift for now.

If Hamedeh overturns Arizona for Attorney General (and there’s a good chance he does due to uncounted provisionals), that will be a HUGE issue for Hobbs in 2024 - good chance AZ goes back to R

HAHAHAHA, no. AZ i getting YOUNGER and younger voters are voting blue because they saw how the GOP handles COVID, Guns and abortion.

I legitimately like Biden. I think he's doing a great job as president. I worry about his age, of course - but I think he's doing a really terrific job through an unbelievably difficult time.

I'm the one that posted that all the right-wingers will be mystified - and I agree with you. I think Biden is too old, but I have no issues with how Biden is running things.

2020. Just look at 2020. The left learned exactly what they needed to do. Learned it well.

The left did NOT learn. That’s the problem. They do not have as many loyalist as they think. The problem is thinking as long as we’re not a bad as GOP it doesn’t matter if we are bad. The don’t really care of doing the right things. Hence the swingy-ness of a very large contingent of Americans.

The same people that stood in line to vote Trump out in '20 will likely stand in line to vote against him again. That was and remains my main motivation, and I am sure many others too. And Trump won't be able to garner anywhere near the support that he did in '16.

Trying to understand in the context of the GOP: trying to crash the economy, stripping women of bodily autonomy, and trashing the environment and workers rights and wages what the Dems could do that would sway right thinking moderates to vote for Christian Fascists in the context of record employment and a stabilizing economy?

Explain it to me like I am 5.

I’ve just accepted that Republican voters basically have all personality disorders.

I kind of agree with this. That or they truly don't understand that the Republican party the once supported is no more.

The comment you responded to is not specific to the orange one. If it’s Biden-Trump, Biden wins in a landslide. It has nothing to do with the Dems learning … unless you mean that they learned they can beat Trump without doing anything of importance. Just smile and wave.

I think it’s more of the latter, but moderate Dems are learning that as well. Blue Dogs are shunned. Manchin is shunned.

If Reagan could have a second term, so can Biden. And if he gets too old to properly delegate, his staff can help him with that.

While I support Joe generally, its supporters like this who upset me. They actually do not care. Our politicians are more a like than partisans care to admit. Who is really looking out out for people? Plenty of politicians say flowery things but when it gets down to it those things don’t really help people. Schools are the easiest examples. No one disagrees that we need to help kids get an education? Or about preparing kids for the future? NO ONE. But one party just wants to eliminate “problem” children and the other party wants to lower or eliminate ways of measuring student progress.

So because Reagan had a second term with dementia, Biden should be afforded the same if it comes to that (if it has t already)? It was a disaster last time but this time will be better??? We have lost our minds a nation.

So if Joe’s staff would be running the country (LMFAO), Joe needs to name them before we elect his team since apparently the job won’t go to the VP if he gets dementia according to the Pp Upthread. Two (or three if you count Woodrow Wilson post stroke) wrongs don’t make a right. Ugh!

You simply can't expect much from voters or you are destined to be bitterly disappointed. Voters elected George Santos to represent them in Congress. That actually happened.

Biden is old, but there is zero evidence of any brain issues. None.
