Is it possible for a 36/37 years old person, to look like a 20/22 years old?

This guy ( on the left) looks 20/22 at 36.

Black woman here. I'm 37 and my coworkers thought I was 26/27 at the most. A few years ago,.a recruiter thought that I was looking for an internship. I really dislike having a baby face.

Black coworkers or white coworkers?

I think that there's a lot at play, including/especially genetics/ethnicity.

Where I see the greatest impact of lifestyle (healthy eating, less disease, sunscreen, expensive laser treatments, exercise) is after age 40. There's a huge variation in how people look at 45, whereas I think most 25 year olds look 25--some look good and some dont, but they look young.

Yes of course lots of people look way younger than they are!
I myself am 47 but I am small and youthful - can easily pass as a 9-year-old. People are always shocked or don’t believe me when I tell them my true age.

Agree. Had same experience when revisiting my alma mater one spring weekend last year. I'm 20 years out and these kids looked like babies to me! Heck, I remember being 27 / 28 and really noticing the aging compared to kids still in college, and I was fit and healthy and active.

Doesn't matter what race they are. No one is mistaking a 35 year old woman of any race for a 22 year old, outside of perhaps a tiny handful of clear exceptions (usually who also had cosmetic help).

And, so what?

I don't think race matters but if you have the following you're likely to look younger than you are.

Face with full cheeks
High cheekbones
Petite short or thin stature
Oily skin

You just sound like you aged horribly in the span of just 6 yrs. I shudder of how you look now.

I was an extra on a popular TV show when I was 37. The other extras were in their early twenties and assumed I was the same age as them. They were shocked when I told them I had a 5 and 8yo at home.

Some people may have trouble differentiating between a 35 and a 25. Others will not.

Some people may say things in passing just out of generic politeness without paying much attention. Such as the time I was visiting my parents and a plumber thought I was a high school kid living at home and I was 30! But he was clearly fixated on plumbing and not paying attention to me. I don't doubt if he'd looked a bit closer he'd have known for sure. I didn't take his comment seriously.

Don't flatter yourself

A young woman my oldest DD went to elementary school with is achieving a decent amount of success as a Hollywood actress. She is about 5”0 and is indistinguishable from an early middle schooler.

How old is she and did she lie about her age? I mean Stacey dash played a high schooler in clueless in her 30s. She's in her 50s now and looks great.
