Ralph Lauren makes a linen suit. This is as close to white as I would go.

Episcopalians do not make a big to do about a kid’s first communion. Kids get communion as soon as they’re baptized without a class and a ceremony.

Lutherans have to complete a couple years of catechism classes to learn exactly what the Lutheran Church teaches and then participate in a confirmation ceremony where they publicly pledge that they believe in the teachings and are choosing to join the church. If you’re raised in the church, you usually go through confirmation in the spring of 8th grade, but there are adult catechism classes and confirmations. You don’t take communion in the Lutheran Church until you’re a confirmed member.

I was just explaining that you don’t take communion in the Lutheran church until after confirmation. Most people are teens at that point. No tiny suits. Our church distributed white robes very similar to graduation gowns and we just wore those over our dress clothes.
