ES math- when do kids learn multiplication/division

I HaTeD the number bonds. Visually, they don’t even make sense. They are truly a terrible way to teach math.


Please explain how they don't make sense.
You have a big number and it gets split into two parts.

Jesus Christ, if you all can do it so much better, then do it. Quit your jobs. Homeschool your kids. Teach them math the way you learned because you can’t possibly fathom learning in different ways.
