| Fam of 4, with 11 girl and 13 boy. my daughter used to be ok sharing with my son, but he's now a blanket hog and she hates sharing with him, so when we do short stays we get 2 queen beds and do boys with boys and girls with girls. my husband also doesn't like sharing with my son as he moves too much! But when it works out we have the 2 queens and a sleeper sofa and we separate them. I'm not ready to pay for 2 adjoining rooms at this age. |
It’s a European vacation for this summer. I booked the hotel rooms almost 6 months ago. One room was a Queen and the other two Twins beds. I checked yesterday and the hotel changed the Twin room to a Queen as well. I called them and to make a long story short they no longer have a Twin room available for us now. I requested a rollaway but it’s “subject to availability”. Hotel prices have gone up dramatically since I booked but I’m still looking for other options. |
| 13 and 15 year olds. They usually share a bed, though have to set up a border because he sticks his legs underneath people and she hogs the covers. |

Girl sleeps in a bed with mom.
Boy sleeps in a bed with dad. |
You made it weird OP. You really did. |
We just make sure each kid has their own blankets. They have to bring one in their carry on. |
I know I will get flamed for this, we only have one kid (14) and still get two rooms. Nothing sounds “vacation” about this at all. |
DA F? |
Way more acceptable than the PPs who think it’s perfectly fine to make a 13 year old girl sleep in the same bed with her 16 year old brother (who will likely wake up with a morning erection). |
You’re perverse. |
Yup-- too much incest in the world. Dugger wannabes? |
Why would the girl be dealing with that? They aren’t pressed up against one another; they can each have their own blankets. Anyway, if either is uncomfortable, find another way. |
| I would NOT do this, OP. |
+1 I guess if your family is a bunch of perverts this might be an issue. For the rest of us… |
+1 would not make my girl and boy share a bed. |
