We spend an obscene amount of money on sleep away camp. We buy used bikes, and have no video game systems, and when the tween wanted airpods he had to save for them.

This. We just got a nice trampoline for our 7 year old and it's been in use non-stop. I even jump on it- it's a great exercise.

$5000 mountain bike which has had to be upgraded due to size 3xs. Only saving grace is we are amble to sell the used one for half of what we paid. I do it because it’s a hobby my kids love and will do all summer long.
