This is a known phenomenon.

I was just talking w my son about this show and video game and he said he won’t watch. He does not like what he referred to as “jump outs.” I wouldn’t be interested either. Life is challenging enough without this kind of thing. |
+2. And during the week it's studying and sports so you don't see them at much even when they're home. It's sad (for me at least as we enjoy our DC's company). So enjoy the time with them. Find shows you like. Watch movies. Go to the movies, to dinner. Go for walks. Talk. It'll be gone before you know it. |
+1. Same Nights they both don’t have sports are rare so at least 1-2 nights a week we watch a show with them and then at 10pm they go to bed and we watch ours. |

Can she not occupy herself in her room for an hour? My kids have their cellphones and legos. Either one is fine in the evenings.
We have a television in our bedroom and one downstairs. They can find a place to entertain themselves until bedtime. I'm shocked a 10 year old can't figure out how to give your husband and you and hour to watch a show that isn't kid friendly. She can watch her own choice in her room on her device. |
+3. I have a 13yo and wish I had realized earlier how short this time is. Enjoy it as much as you can while she still wants to watch stuff with you and talk to you. |
