Maybe obsessive and unhinged admin can’t let sleeping dogs lie? |
This is the only important question. |
I know which one you speak of!
|
This. But many of the kids at those in the past three years were younger sibs. Not all but most. Or had "hooks", like child of a board member at Lowell and that helped get them off the waitlist or what have you. Some were just lucky and they fit the Big 3 school's priorities that year. It is not a sure thing even for their best students. If you want a Big 3 get in earlier than 9th. |
Same here! We have been very happy here for years and really like warmth and the administration. |
Yes- definitely more smoke and mirrors from the admin at Lowell. It’s interesting that they have time to scour DCUM and yet there is serious and unchecked dysfunction at all levels of the school that (sadly) filters down to the students. |
| No don't. |
| I know ten kids who went to Lowell. 6 ended up at gds, 2 maret, one ncs and one holton arms |
| That’s like four families: two with three kids and two with two kids you are speaking of above, right? I can think of families that describe the above make up of what you listed, but not common if each kid you know above is born to different sets of parents. |
Don’t do it. Not for twice the tuition. Lowell School is a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad JOKE. |
| Why would it be your only option? Full pay should give you leeway to consider several options |
| Hard pass... |
| We left a few years ago in part due to the HoS and the toxic environment that came with her arrival. It may not have been because of her but a perfect storm of other factors, that I do not know. I can't speak to the current state outside of comments made by those we still know at the school. Comments seem to be all over the place though. |
It hasn’t gotten any better. We left too because of it. |
Can you say more? We haven’t heard this and are considering. Thanks. |
