What is the worst movie that you have seen recently?

Dear John.

Dear God,, it was stupid. I spend a LOT of time in airplanes, so I end up watching movies I would not ordinarily bother with. Most of the plot was insipid, and truly inane.

I don't expect a lot from Hollywood, as it continually disappoints. A question: for those who know that you're going to watch a Hollywood "blockbuster," do you actually expect it to be good?

I've liked a lot of indie movies lately. Saw Greenberg with Ben Stiller (yes, Ben Stiller) and as annoying as his character was the movie was still oddly satisfying.

I watched the trailer for the Human Centipede. When they're all connected like that, I can't help but think "hope no one farts"

I watched the trailer too, and now I feel sick. I would think a fart would be the least of their concerns. (and there is no way it can be 100% medically accurate)

I thought this movie was waaaay better than I expected. Yes predictable, but funny. And Ashton actually looked hot, usually he doesn't do it for me.

I liked Killers more than I expected. Agree about Ashton Kutcher.

I agree that Sherlock Holmes was very meh. I do agree with the other pp that the style of the movie was great--just, as a whole, the movie was barely ok and I was SO looking forward to seeing it.

I loved Orphan though.

The worst movie I've seen lately though--Invictus. Hated it! I'm sure everyone will disagree, but I don't understand how people can like this movie. Sure, Morgan Freeman does a great Mandela and Matt Damon is always good eye candy. But the story just doesn't have enough depth to be made into a long movie. It's a wonderful story--that could have been summed up in a 12 minute 60 Minutes segmant. It was so slow and boring and I never felt the real emotion that they were trying to get across. And it didn't come close to having enough action to be a decent sports movie. Awful.

OP again.

I need to stop watching bad movies, haha. Last night we watched "When in Rome", it was awful.

And oh my gosh can we stop talking about Human Centipide? If you have Comcast, it is On Demand, and my Husband saw it and laughed that he wanted to watch it. It became a joke for a few days till we finally watched the trailer....and just stared at each other for a few minutes. I couldn't shake it for a few days... so nasty. He brought it up to a co-worker and that guy even said "Oh man...no...took me forever to forget the trailer!" Creeps me out, and I watch some creepy movies!

I had never heard of Human Centipede until this thread, so I looked it up, and WTF? Who thinks that's a good premise for a movie, and who would ever see it?

Anyway, worst movie I've seen "recently" (it's been a few years) is The Happening. Awful, ridiculous, idiotic. Actually, I take that back. The first part is pretty cool and interesting and then the end SUCKS.

OK, I;m the poster who asked what happened at the end of human centipede because honestly, I am so curious and repulsed at the same time. It's like the time I had a piece of glass stuck to my foot and the doctor asked if I wanted to watch them remove it all- I felt like I was going to throw up but I couldn't take my eyes off it all. I also am curious to know what kind of man makes this movie and what kind of people watch the whole thing. Curious, repulsed people like me?...
