What is the worst movie that you have seen recently?

Avatar. Horrible movie. The special effects were pretty nice, but they didn't make up for the cliche that was the entire story line and the horrible acting.

And I can't believe the PP who hated Ghost World. That is one of my favorite movies, and I love the graphic novel also.

I adored Fantastic Mr Fox. I thoght Hangover was insipid-- not at all funny.

I hated the back up plan with JEnnifer lopez. The humor was gross and stupid. Everyone in the theater was laughing, the whole time I was thinking," are we all watching the same movie?"
I didn't expect it to win an oscar, I expected fluff. It as so horrible within the first 30 minutes I walked out, and demanded my money back.

Hot Tub Time Machine was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Could not believe this horror got good reviews. I loved The Hangover and Borat, so I'm not immune to sick, immature humor.

Recently watched "Velvet Goldmine" (1998 film with Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and Christian Bale). I'm a fan of both actors but that movie was probably the worst movie I have ever seen. Truly.

The last truly terrible movie I watched was probably Jumper. He's handsome as all hell, but my desk emotes more than Hayden Christensen.

Year One made my 1.5 y/o cry. Well it was probably Jack Black, but that movie still sucked through a straw.

I loved Ghost World too, if you are talking about the Thora Birch/Steve Buscemi/Scarlett Johannson movie. I went through a HUGE Steve Buscemi phase, a bit over it now, but for a while just thought he was great. Really liked Ghost World.

Gigli is a good but outdated movie, that's all.

The last terrible movie I watched (a long time ago) was Two Weeks' Notice. Ick. No more sickly chick flicks.

Awww I thought Two Weeks Notice was adorable.

wow. Why? We loved this movie--If you like ( in our case, love) the double barreled meticulous story telling style of director Guy Ritchie (Lock Stock and 2 Gun Barrels) you' would love this movie. He makes highly stylized movies--freeze frames, jump shots, saturated filters, color stripped filters, obsessive detail for scene and mood --make american actors stretch to British accent --a bit annoying (think of Brad Pitt mumbling his way through a Dublin brogue in Lock Stock...) Downey's accent is in out in an annoying way. BUT. He is completely hawt in this movie in a way I wasn't expecting at all. Give it a try when you're feeling more alert, it was GOOD. GREAT, even.

21:30, where did you see The Human Centipede? Did a theater in the area actually show it? I'll give you, for lack of a better word, credit...just reading the Roger Ebert review alone was enough to make me retch and then gag. I could hardly finish reading it. I can't imagine actually seeing the movie!

For myself, "Orphan" was not only the worst movie I've seen in recent memory, but perhaps the worst movie I've ever seen. It was so bad that when the big, scary "reveal" came, the audience I was sitting in burst out laughing. Good grief it was wretched.
