In child custody dispute, breastfeeding mom is ordered to use bottle

Yes. Too often, breastfeeding is weaponized against the dad. Time with both parents is far more important than the method in which a baby is fed.

I’m disgusted that this is being twisted into a custody tactic.

Let the mother make her own choices about her body. Can’t some of you see how these legal rulings will be used against women?

Nobody is trying to force her to do anything with her body she does not want to do. Stop using women’s rights as a weapon, it just hurts all of us.

No breastfeeding is not weaponized.

She cannot pump and make choice about her and her family’s health.

No one is having an issue with her making her own choices about her body. The issue is the child's. Do you see how this is used against men? As soon as the breastfeeding excuse is over, then she'll say the child has never had a relationship/bonded with dad and the no relationship cycle continues. Dad has equal right to feeding choices for their child.

She CAN pump or use formula. Simple. He has equal rights to make health decisions for his child.

Of course the baby has to use a bottle so that the father can be a father to the baby if the parents aren’t together. This is the only solution, otherwise the baby will not see the father and not bond with the father.

“Ramirez said she and her daughter’s father split shortly after the birth, and the father moved out of their Northern Virginia home. On Nov. 28, a Prince William County judge ordered that the father be permitted to visit the baby four days per week ahead of overnight visits slated to begin in February.

There was an additional condition. “Mother is to make every effort to place the child on a feeding schedule and use a bottle,” the order read.”

Because?

Is he a Republican?
Wouldn’t a conservative want a woman to breastfeed?

What the f is wrong with you? Everything in life doesn't come down to politics, you are literally so f d up! They had a baby together, they have broken up, he is the baby's father, he is entitled to visit and overnight visits with his child. The mother can breastfeed and still use a bottle by using a pump.

They can also use formula, but she is the one insisting on EBF.

It’s not a health decision because his prior child was breastfed to two, and before the divorce he wanted this child breastfed.

Just own it— he wants to pay less child support for four months. What a winner.

How in the world are you connecting this to a child support determination?
