Annoyed with a friend and need to take a step back-tell her or just do it?

The truth is I have never respected this person and the choices they make and find them to take far more than they give. As the years have passed, it is patently clear that we are fundamentally different. I've outgrown the shenanigans, am no longer interested in the stories, and no longer into being quietly judgmental.

My method is to be constantly busy or cut the convos short.

I have the same situation with a relative. She is rich, childless, travels the world and wants to talk about HER problems. She called me crying in April 2020 about not being able to travel and how depressed it was making her, while I was struggling with two little kids and working extra shifts at the hospital. Nowadays she usually wants to talk about some friend drama. My life is hectic and I'm just not interested anymore, so I usually say "I'm about to put dinner on the table" after about 10 minutes of chatting.
