Lets get real. MoCo may be a decent place to live but I would avoid being too arrogant about it. It is NOT that nice or interesting or enjoyable, etc. |
Blame it on the liberal white professionals in TT/SS, who have never had a real job in their lives. |
More accurately, a job where there was real consequences for outcomes. |
Are you just going to pretend that an election didn’t happen? |
We moved from MoCo to PG years ago. It was a great choice, and one that I have never regretted. As for why I still care about MoCo, that’s because my DH still works in Silver Spring. We still see first-hand the changes in MoCo, and they still affect us even though we left. Trust me when I say nobody in my PG neighborhood is jealous of MoCo residents. |
Takoma Park gained more influence in county politics when it consolidated in Montgomery County in 1997. In the succeeding years, it came to dominate the council. The rest of us have regretted it ever since. Their anti-business, pro-NIMBY policies have killed the county’s economy. |

Lets get real. Over 85% of MoCo REAL residents say it is a great place to live. What DCUM trolls say is irrelevant and out of touch with reality. We don't' give a damn about what DCUM trolls say. |
NIMBY policies… like THRIVE? Lol. I’m trying to keep up. Is the MoCo council too woke and want to put low income housing all over the place, or are they too NIMBY? Which is it? |
This is some serious try hard stuff when obviously a large percentage of Moco residents and politicians clearly have DC envy. |
I believe you 100%. PG has much more rapid business development. It is moving up while we decline. |
| I love PG County |
| Lots of people from Takoma Park are for Thrive and are Nimby. They want upzoning, just not in their precious historic district. It’s the very definition of NIMBY. |

Look at the diverse culture MoCo's lax policing has helped to foster:
A take over happened again about 2-3 days ago. Can't you just breathe in all that culture and feel it in your bones? It's so wonderful how much the county has progressed. |
