Help! - Infant Daycare Needed ASAP

Anonymous
MMM uses licensed daycares and we love our provider - I don't know why someone or someone(s) are starting rumors when they have no firsthand experience, and since they can probably help OP. They were a life saver when not a single place we had paid to be on a waitlist for worked out. Yes, the name is dumb, but who cares if they help you find a great childcare provider

Just updating—after about 30 inquires and a couple of tours, we lucked out and found a center that we love with an open space! My son starts next week!

We actually ended up somewhere we NEVER thought we’d get in, but it just worked out that some babies had aged up to a new room and another family had moved. It really is always worth a call!

Good luck! And always check the license's number

I'm looking for a center with natural setting, like more natural light. Most centers looks like a jail, sad.

Same here. I don't know why people are spreading rumors they have no idea are true or not. When I interviewed MMM, I specifically asked and they said all the daycares are licensed. You can ask for the license number for each daycare they recommend - I know I did and did my due diligence and conducted my own research - so I'm not sure how they would "sneak" in an unlicensed daycare before you signed any paperwork.

My DC is in a daycare found through MMM and I could not be happier with the quality of care. I haven't used the backup option yet and don't feel comfortable yet - maybe once DC is a little older but I also have generous sick leave. However, just because I don't use this "perk" doesn't mean MMM is bad option. I interviewed providers both from CareLuLu and MMM and I think the quality is more consistent at MMM. MMM does its own inspections and has standards the providers must follow (in addition to following state guidelines). I know this because I interviewed MMM and asked these questions.

I didn't go with them because I didn't like the idea of random kids being placed temporarily in my child's daycare. And I would not place my child in some random daycare temporarily so the policy in no way benefits me.

But you are fine with DC Urban Moms??
