But I like calling the Providers |
But not for an immediate infant spot. |
Yeah, I have been on the waitlist since 2021. |
I also hate the name Monday Morning Moms. It's so sexist. And the backup care policy seems destabilizing. I didn't go with them because I didn't like the idea of random kids being placed temporarily in my child's daycare. And I would not place my child in some random daycare temporarily so the policy in no way benefits me. |
Very shady. Use Locate or checkccmd to find licensed daycares. |
Edie’s home daycare. She is licensed thru moco. She is in Burtonsville just off Greencastle Rd opposite the park. That’s where I met her a few years ago, she goes to the park/playground every day. |
People suggested that I use them but I couldn't get past the name and the obvious sketchiness of their model. |
I don’t know if it’s sketchy per se but definitely a middleman that isn’t needed, soley to make someone else money. I did contact them years ago and carelulu and the latter was way more pushy when I didn’t think the provider i visited through them were a good fit. To their credit the MMM coordinator person was more hands off. |
They are sketchy if they’re using unlicensed daycares. |
I'm the PP and was not provided with any unlicensed options when I contacted them. But if you have good reasons to think they are using unlicensed providers, then why not report them? Otherwise, stop spreading rumors. |
I’m questioning them since they’re not clear about what kind of daycare providers they use. The website side steps a very obvious issue. Matching with licensed daycare is a huge selling point and the fact that that’s not the first bullet point just makes me wonder. Who would I report them to? They are not the ones providing care, they are facilitating, so who would have oversight over them? |
DP I have no dog in this fight. Never used MMM. But it sounds like you're accusing them of doing something you've never observed them doing, solely because they don't specifically say on their website that they link you with licensed providers. It does look like they are pretending they use a special quality standard ("Homes inspected for compliance with fire, health and safety standards!") when this is just a basic requirement for being registered (or "licensed") as a family child care home. |
There's already licencing specialists from the Maryland Department of Education inspecting Family Daycares already.
You can even call them. They are the ones who gave the Providers their licence. Not the other annoying companies/apps like weecare, mmm who probably is taking parents money and DATA |
People does make money by taking their data |
