What decor style do you absolutely HATE?!

Most mid century modern looks like it’s meant to encourage guests to leave the house as soon as soon as humanely possible. We get it, you hate people.

Flat bottom bathroom sinks. Why is this a thing. They look disgusting after one use.

Griege walls. Life is just not that grim. Find joy.

This. Uncomfortable, impersonal, robotic.

What I hate more than anything is undecorated homes. The couple we bought our house from had teenagers and yet it looked like college furniture and nothing coordinated. WTH

LOL! That is our style. Everything is random.

Gray.
Greige.

On the other hand, I love the classic RH look (their modern stuff is nice but not for me) and have a very soft spot for Tuscan/Mediterranean style homes and fixtures. I wish all the ornate iron would come back into style.

Yuck. This reminds of Olive Garden.

Gray floors. So cheesy

Jewel hued furniture. It’s passé. Hate stairs that meet you when you step in to the house.

Generally hate frou frou, French, Tuscan - all the stuff with too much crap.

I like Mcm (live in an original house so the style fits well), modern, and industrial.

But to be honest I can appreciate anything that speaks to the owners tastes and efforts, if we’ll done.

What I hate most of all is people with money who go to a furniture store and clearly just spent $15k per room in one fell swoop with the heavy involvement of a salesperson, so the house just looks like a weird showroom floor without personality.

Agree. That living room looks like a hospital operating room. No thanks.

Personally I will always prefer my own version of cottage decor.

I feel the same way. While I would not choose mid-century modern for my house house, I have two friends who have done it really well, and I love the look in their spaces. Similarly, I could never live with full on modern, but really appreciate visiting spaces that have that design.

I suppose if I had to hate on something it would be a cluttered, Americana, kitsch look in a 70s style house, but a tactful nod to that in the right house could even work. I also don't prefer family homes that feel like hotels. I do want to see some personality and feel welcomed in.

The stairs aren't decor. That architecture comes with the house.

Wallpaper.

Animal prints. Mixing of animal prints.

Grey wood floors with grey cabinets with dark marble countertops in the kitchen. It looks so prison-esque to me.

80s furniture. All of it except for Laura Ashley linens - I loved getting my high school room all decked out a fluffy comforter with every coordinating bed accessory.

Also includes Kountry Kitsch like geese and precious tiny print patterns. Cafe curtains! Teddy Bears! Dried flowers!
