Just for fun. I’ll start:
Mid century modern. It makes me want to vomit. The taper pointy wooden legs on all the sofas and chairs, the orange hues. I just can’t. A not too distant second would be the blue and white floral vase southern look a la Ballard Designs. What makes you cringe? |
Any decor that includes those wooden signs with words printed on them (e.g eat, laugh, etc.) |
Stuffy traditional with tacky curtains that block out natural light and views. |

I clicked on this thread to add mid-century modern. So dated and depressing. So +1 OP. |

I don’t hate anything. I can appreciate any well-executed style, and like eclectic DIY. What I prefer is to see the homeowner’s personality shining through!
Personally I will always prefer my own version of cottage decor. |

Plus 2. I hate the signs...."Blessed." "Believe." etc. I'm not crazy about extreme seasonal cutesy decor a la Hobby Lobby. |
I love mid century modern, so clean and crisp! Especially if it’s authentic. Hate over stuffed flowery dust collecting fabric filled houses. |
Anything “industrial” and/or rustic. Appropriate patina is fine. |
that rich lady's mclean home that was in another thread. Too many lines in all different directions and motifs and animals and ornate-ness. Was like an eye disco on acid. But I know some people like that. |
Plus +1000 I call it Mall Americana c.2015 |
Painting brick especially painting it black.
I hate dark paint which always makes rooms look so much smaller. I agree signs with "live, laugh, love" Over decorating like home goods crap every inch of a room. |
