DP. I like mindy as a person but I don’t find her funny. She peaked in The Office. Everything else she’s done like Mindy Project was meh at best. But this Velma show is garbage and very very lazy. Dude, THIS! As a nerdy, awkward woman who has struggled to embrace herself, I always identified with characters like Velma, Nymphadora Tonks, and Brienne of Tarth. Guess who felt erased and gaslit when people started "claiming" those characters as non-binary or genderqueer or whatever? People actually tried to cancel both Rowling and GRRM for not making Tonks and Brienne non-binary. Its offensive to me.

She’s uncomfortable in her skin and wants the world to acknowledge her as a great beauty, after having to play games about her kids’s dad, Ozempic/Wegovy, and some arguable skin lightening. It’s hard to see. I loved her original blog and some of her writing but I haven’t been able to enjoy her work or anything she’s in for a long time now.

I just watched the first episode of Velma. It’s not great but I’m not getting all the hate. I love Scooby but it’s not sacred. I also like Mindy Kalinin just fine. The show is like most adult animation out there but maybe not quite as funny.

Yeah, why does she need to be "non-conforming." Some of us really are nerdy, plain, and in some pain (especially early in life) because men are less likely to notice us. Don't assume we're queer if we're not that pretty!!! That hurts.
