The Star Wars series are mostly pretty good with the exception of Boba Fett. They're not high art, but they're entertaining.

Parks and Rec and The Office are funny as an adult because the situations revolve around adult scenarios. No shock that it didn't resonate.

My kid is a little younger, but we are watching 1899. Previously watched The Umbrella Academy. Also enjoyed Star Trek Discovery.

Breaking Bad

It's old, but my kid and I love 30 Rock.

In addition to the many other shows mentioned, my teen boys liked Reacher.

The Old Man on Apple+. Fairly violent but he's 16 so shrug.

NP. Still an irrelevant question/observation. There is someone rude here. But it isn't OP.

My DS and I enjoy

Survivor
Amazing Race
Special Forces

We pick a player/team the first episode and see who's pick makes it the furthest. During Amazing Race we pick places we want to visit some day and enjoy selecting who would do each competition if we were a team (I get any dancing/singing challenges and he would take memorization)

DS and I watched all of Lost during the pandemic. All 125 episodes. He loved it. DH felt very left out but refused to join us.

OP. I think he would like breaking bad a lot. Will check out the others too. At this rate we will be covered til college. Watching a common show really is another nice way to stay connected with him.

Sweet! I watch survivor. DA has no interest. I like the amazing race idea. I don’t know special forces. Will look at it.

I like shows like breaking bad with my teen/young adult sons because it brings up moral dilemmas to discuss.
