$41k to two employer sponsored tax advantaged accounts.
$20k contribution from employer for one spouse. $7500 match for the other. $68,500 specifically for retirement. |
But DCUM told me that you need an income of $300,000 to get ahead in this area. |
| Why did you start this thread, OP? |
I like you. Thanks for the laugh. |
| We both did about $15K so $30K together |
Bless you
|
Not OP but, to brag ... Of course. |
| We contributed about $60k and lost $600k. |
|
Tax qual savings:
$100k - self employed DB plan $67 - self employed 401k and profit share with catch up $8k - HSA not used for health care $7k - IRA Total = $182k We also invested in the market - maybe another $100k? And paid off our mortgage which was another $100k. |
|
Including employer contribution (50% of the first 3%) ot was $19,800.
I’m on one decent enough (just over $100k) income but with a SFH mortgage, utilities, ever-increasing property tax, etc. it doesn’t seem to go that far. I’m proud of myself for saving that much. Bumping it up a percent next year, too. |
| 20k each in our 401k and then 30k in my mega Roth. Doesn’t include employer match or our HSA which we are using as a retirement tool. |

$6,500 into 403b
$17k into pensions Two employees |
God bless you! Just like us. I am so jealous of these high salaries ... it makes me want to cry. |
Same for me
|
PP here. Two teachers. The pensions will be helpful. |
