How much did you save for retirement in 2022?

I’m just looking for a total dollar figure of everything you and your partner (if indicated) set aside for retirement in 2022. I will go first.

We contributed ~$50k including employer matches, but our retirement savings are still down about $40k from this time last year due to the market, so in reality we lost about $90k.

Husband maxed out his TSP + match + full Roth contribution.

I just reentered the workforce in august- I put in 3200 in contribution + match + full Roth contribution.

I saved $6K in a Roth. Husband saved 10% until fall, then bumped it up to 17% + $6K in Roth.

What do you consider retirement savings? I maxed my SEP, he maxed his 401k, and then maxed his SEP for all 1099 income. It comes out to just over 100k. We saved in non tax advantage accounts too but I don’t know if I consider that retirement or

Just about $100K on $400K in income. That is Roth 401K contributions, traditional 401K, catch up contributions on both and a deferred comp plan.

Oh wait, that was my post-tax spend for full-time daycare for one infant.
