Also here is live feed of plane crash. Right now no rescue operations happening probably due to fact that wires are still live. https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/live-video-small-plane-stuck-in-montgomery-county-powerlines/3218755/

NP. MoCo Fire and Rescue confirms this information on their twitter feed. The video in particular says the lines are live and they will need to cut power for the rescue.

I doubt this is accurate, but sharing anyway.

If they got rescued, how? How come there are no pictures of that.

Also, how the heck will they be rescued?

If I had to guess, they will probably use heavy equipment used to trim trees? Just a hunch.

They haven’t been rescued. They’ll need to shut down the power to the lines first. Can’t believe they’ve been hanging there 3 hours. They must be cold.

Poor them. Just like the people whose houses now have no heat thanks to them knocking out the power. Or the patients that can't go to the MedStar Montgomery ER because it's on "mini disaster" mode.

and how safe is a weird rescue like this? It's crazy! And how did they survive when the plane's cabin is ...bent? I'm weirdly fascinated by this. The rescue and the fact that they are alive. Not plane crashes in general.

It seems like a fire department ladder truck would be the more natural choice, no?

So I agree that this situation is inconvenient for a lot of people, but....

It is 50 degrees outside. Nobody who would otherwise have heat is freezing. Nobody is unable to get medical treatment.
I could be interpreting you wrong, but are you blaming the people in that plane?

The power is on in the area the plane hit. But it’s off other places further away.

I don’t think the ladder would reach

I really wouldn’t consider those equivalent situations.

Maybe you’d like to trade places with the pilot/passenger?
