Wilder?

I actually think Wilder is cute, and the sound and vibe is good, but it does also make me think Laura Ingalls and also Utah moms, as others brought up. Wilder. I like it better for a boy. But overall, I like classic names and feel like a child is served better by a classic name vs a trendy name.

I know two kids names Wilder. I like the nature and outdoor connotation it brings to mind and I don’t think the name is tacky. My problem with Wilder is that it feels awkward to pronounce and never rolls of the tongue for me. Even the word wild- I hear people pronounce it both as one syllable and then as clear two syllables, “why-ulled.” So when I see Wilder I think “why-ull-dur.” Which I am not sure if is how it is meant to be pronounced. I just don’t ever know if I am saying it correctly.

Op here. I haven't been upset at all. But let's be clear, very few posters are giving opinions. Most are being jerks

NP. My opinion is that this is not a good name.

I think might be the only person with this issue. TBH.

I like it. Know a few. It’s becoming more popular but not overdone.
