It’s a great way to create an elite echo chamber of wealthy people ordering around others to do DEI stuff they concoct with no input or communication with actual indigenous people, poor AAs, esol first gen Hispanics, or the poor.

He’s been cancelled. Though reading cancelled great writing works - because they certainly have additive diction, tone and prose students haven’t read much of in their graphic novel comics - is fun due to all the criticizing, we mean critical thinking, of picking him apart as an evil person.

Yikes, this seems so cringey as applied to applicants who are themselves members of underrepresented groups. So a prep school is going to compel Black people to attend DEI workshops and explain how they show fealty to DEI?

Beyond cringey. St. Patrick’s seems likeliest to try something like this locally, based on previous optional dei parent trainings. Meanwhile some of the most exclusionary (Chevy) families in the area attend.

Just have a list of revenge demands. The school can help, it’s really academic, can’t you tell? (And parents go hire more tutors to do the actual teaching).

This is a standard interview question for prospective employees at my place of work.

What sort of answer to this would you realistically expect to this from, say, a software engineer? "I treat all machines equally"?

It's a serious question, and I have no idea how I would answer this if it came up in a job interview. This sort of thing really isn't part of my job at all, and I don't really do much with hiring. When I have interviewed job candidates, I have made sure to give everyone an equal chance, and I do treat all co-workers equally. Not sure how this would apply otherwise.
