police
dental nurse
medical assistant

the list is pretty endless

Not interested in health field and too girly to be a cop

I hate how you keep saying a girly girl but no real details

Being a cop is tough even if you aren't girly

Most people have a decent idea of what girly means. She’s just not interested in traditionally masculine things which would include most blue collar trades.

No, I know girly girls who fix things. You can be both.

We dont know if op dd is 14 or 10 or 18

Perhaps mortuary school? It’s a thing and works well with introverts.

OP- you have rejected a lot of good ideas presented here. You keep asking if something will pay enough. Without a degree or trade, one's earnings potential will be more limited. Surely, you know that. What skills or interests does your daughter have?

-- Someone suggested nannying. That can pay well.
-- Your daughter could get a job at a bank and work her way up
- SiShe could sign up with a temp firm + see if she likes any assignments
- She could get an Assistant job at a university (GW gives employees free classes after a year
- Get a job at a restaurant + work her way up
- Get a job at a health club + work her way up
- Get a government job and work her way up
- Get a grocery store job...
--Become a social media guru + offer services to organizations
- Become an insurance agent

I know RN's making close to 180k

Flight attendant, hearing aid specialist?

Honestly, even real estate isn't bad. There's a video of some kid at Brown who decides to pursue real estate instead: https://youtu.be/xmlrjMMZVGM
DH who has a PhD even thought about pursuing real estate while we were out on the West Coast.

Outside of travel or CA? Somewhere in the DMV? Do tell!

If you teach her to invest her savings at a young age, she might become wealthy beyond anything her salary could predict.

And if by now she hasn't learned the value of hard work, or has special needs you haven't diagnosed and supported... you can't demand a high salary for her. Might as well go all 1950s and hint she should find a rich husband...

That should never be an option! What if the rich husband beats her or divorces her with three kids.

Statistics of that are pretty low.

Hearing aid specialist is going away. You can now buy hearing aids (not amplifiers) off of the internet. See Eargo and Bose.

Big big savings to the $6000 ripoff. I have the Eargos. They work well.

OP, I would suggest that your daughter consider community college and some of the workforce development programs that they have. For example, Montgomery College has a variety of programs in business, information technology, health career fields, education, public safety, etc.

+1

Best suggestion yet, OP

Xray tech is the easiest medical field to get into.

Short of CNA and I'm now paying CNA's $31 per hour

Possibly, but i was hoping for something with the potential for more money.

Good nannies can make great money.

Not a great list here.

Interior Design is a licensed professional requiring education.

Admin Assistants really need a BA these days to make money.

OP it sounds like your daughter is spoiled.

And by the way retail pays well once on hits management but its hard nights and weekends are not your own. Target managers make good money. But I think College is required.

I am getting the impression your kid needs a reality check.

It is not your job to pick what they do. It is your job to raise a hard working person whether they attend college or not. What will she do live with you forever?
