Yes!! NP here. I continued to do yogo and worked through the crying and ... I worked through mine (the emotional issues)!!! Definitely give it a try. What do you have to lose? |
This, it has happened to me too: first, embrace the release, keep sobbing and pushing through, if you ride it i think you will see you feel better at the end; second, you need to figure out if there is something else burried inside that your conscious mind is not letting you explore. SOmething that is bothering you and you need to recognize and deal with. I am not 100% sure there is. For me it was a combo, i think there was a big part that was just a physical/ emotional stress that was released thanks to how strength work outs must be impacting my mood hormones (if you ever notice, there is something similar in planes, in high altitudes a lot of people tend to cry their eyes out when watching emotional movies, and feel intensity of emotions they wouldnt normally feel). And another part was that indeed, i was carrying a bit TOO much stress and anxiety about my life, and had to figure out how to bring a better balance. All poistive though. Dont drop the weights! |
I love this thread and the overwhelming acknowledgement that this is normal and actually a very, very good thing.
In many yoga classes I have taken the teacher mentions that pigeon can be a tremendous emotional release, and that you should just go with it and let the emotions flow. Finally - the number one rule of yoga is NO JUDGING. Close your eyes if you need to, PP, but seriously. NO judging. You will actually find that *your* practice gets so much deeoer and better if you stop looking at others and only focus on yourself. |
