Democratic Party at BTS Night

Our school has had both parties passing out literature at BTS night. I jut ignore both groups. It is up to each party to choose if they are at BTS night.

Pretty sure I was on the same LONG line to get into BTS (Haycock?) and the delay had nothing to do w/ the political parties — it was the high volume of people entering one door at the same time and stopping right inside the entrance to be directed to classrooms. Find something else to be infuriated about.

You do realize that you can say "no" and walk past the people. I mean, this is not a hard concept. Clearly the parents at your school need to learn their words and just walk past the folks handing out literature.

Ok, fair enough possibility. And you're right, infuriated is too strong a reaction (and too strong a word for what I actually felt, which was annoyance).

It's not the school board elections that really bring them (both parties) there, folks. It's the bigger picture--the upcoming VA elections, to elect all 11 of our Representatives to Congress. These days, whichever way you vote, it's a pretty important election, so getting the word out is important. And again, legal to do at BTSNs.

Our founding fathers when they wrote the first amendment. The public square and all that.

Agree. Both parties have done it for mY 15 years in FCPS. It’s annoying AF.
