Racist is the person who sang/ produced/ distributed/ promoted such garbage.

Don't blame teens for singing a popular song, especially because of their skin color, you racist.

+1. If a group doesn’t want the word said, then don’t say it, and for heaven’s sake don’t publicize it!

This bait-and-condemn approach is absurd.

LMAO White people mad they can’t say it without repercussions

They are not saying it. They are singing a song.

I wouldn’t send my kids to Landon —I don’t like their culture. And I don’t like groups of kids being obnoxious in public.

But singing a popular song is not racist. Talk to the artist if you have a problem.

“Bait and Condemn” -

Teach your little punk brats of privilege how to behave in public. We all expect more from Landon kids because they have been handed EVERY opportunity on a silver platter. If these are the values being taught…

Let’s see…who behaves civilly here?

I am Black also and my initial response was the same. But, that’s because we are conditioned to swallow the small acts of racism. White people have Jedi mind tricked us into being grateful when they aren’t overly racist and trying to lynch us, so that when they continue doing everything else oppressive that they were already doing, they can say, you’re free, and have civil rights. And from that point, it all turns into a continuum of actions being deemed not that bad. Because the “that bad” is getting beaten by cops, or being enslaved. So we accept those crumbs. And say that a mob of white boys chanting the n word on a crowded train with many Black peoples who were likely very offended by their behavior as not that bad.

Vast majority of white teens know to have the common courtesy to not be using the n-word, in private and especially in public.

These teen toads from Landon are “special” because they’ve been taught to not give a f#ck about anyone else. These boys need a couple slaps to the mouth to get right.

+1. Right. Like that makes them a victim. The inability to get past the n word double standard for fear of being called racist. Pearl clutch.

Sounds like most of them were silent for that word; that's going to be tricky to figure out which ones said what.

I wish these videos weren't as hyperbolic. It's her position that no woman of color anywhere in America can raise their voice ever above a three without the police being called? I think we could find some video evidence to refute that position. If one wants to be taken seriously, this is not the way.

My kid has known this since he could talk. Kids who aren't racist don’t have an issue with this.

When my kid was at JR, 99% of white kids knew this and it was a total non issue. The kids who were mad that they couldn’t say the n-word were the same kids who had all sorts of other issues with Black kids, Latinos, gay kids, and the notion that women are actual autonomous human beings.

Agreed. The whole N word thing is just an idiotic part of our culture.
If you listen to popular music as a young person you hear it 100 times a day. But god forbid you sing along. Then you're a racist.
We need to just retire it.

Trudat:

She was a fast machine, she kept her motor clean
She was the best damn woman that I ever seen
She had the sightless eyes, telling me no lies
Knocking me out with those American thighs

Taking more than her share, had me fighting for air
She told me to come, but I was already there
'Cause the walls start shaking, the Earth was quaking
My mind was aching and we were making it

I am not sure if you know this song that you are allowed to use that word.

Landon gonna landon. Nothing will come of it. Nothing will change. I won’t send my sons there (and that’s all I can control about Landon).

So because they’re singing a slur, it’s fine. Sounds about white.

Ah, the poor guy at the last second of the first clip — just wants to get home without catching covid. Instead he’s stuck as a captive audience with a train full of entitled white boys shouting the n word.
