Why is it so hard to find a cleaning person?

I gave up on cleaners about 3 years ago. They show up late, or not at all. They do not clean to my satisfaction. They charge too much and barely speak English. I put up with this crap for 20 years.

I clean my own house now. I no longer go to the gym. Cleaning is a great workout. I clean about 30 minutes on workdays and 2 hours each Sat -Sun. It's a win all around for me.

I would bet you could find a mom who is interested in earning extra $. I have a college-educated SIL in Ohio who was SAHM + just LOVES to clean so she does housecleaning even though my brother is a high paying exec. She went to a fancy private h.s. + cleans for a lot of her Junior League friends.
