Great schools, great school spirit, great sports, great network, definitely easier to get into than UVA, has a wide range of people and out of staters, Greek is there but can be low key and doesn’t dominate like in the South.

OP said "she prefers a warmer climate." That rules these schools out, especially Wisconsin.

Now can you believe it?

Perhaps with knowledge about great matches they will reconsider. And what’s your excuse regarding Indiana, snarky pants?

I said both were not "warmer climates," and said "especially Wisconsin."

NP. OP, these schools are as similar as you can get, along with Clemson, Tech and JMU. Good luck!

No, they're not. OP said same size as or "slightly larger than" UVA. IU and UW are much larger than UVA.

Because you are there and like it so much.

If private tuition is doable for you, Tulane. Possibly U of Miami, too. Both of these are not easy to get into but easier than UVA OOS, especially if you apply ED.

But smaller not larger. Still think Clemson is good suggestion. Florida and Georgia are much larger, but easier to get into than UVA — Florida being the more more competitive of the two and only slightly easier than UVA. Clemson, while not easy to get into, is still easier than Georgia. Obviously UNC but would fit EXCEPT harder to get in than UVA if OOS.

UNC almost impossible for OOS
WF and NYU very difficult due to size and prestige.
