Well they took it to The Press, so that part is on them

I applaud them for taking it to the press. People need to know the consequences of the new laws being proposed in Republican states to outlaw the abortion. This story will be very common in places like Tennessee, Alabama, etc.

Bless your heart. Because newly expectant parents should always research the laws relating to abortion before traveling because you never know when your life might be placed at risk due to miscarriage. Thankfully the women can be transferred to Spanish territory for necessary medical treatment. But by all means wallow in your cavalier smugness.

They absolutely should. You never want to be trapped somewhere where the laws are against you and you're facing death for that reason. And its not like they didn't know they were pregnant as they characterized this holiday as a 'babymoon' on social media.

- signed a pro-life as possible woman

I think anyone who travels to Europe for vacation would expect the vaunted european health care system, and liberal laws, to takw care of thwm. Anyone could be in her shoes.

Apparently, most Americans don't know that Europe isn't big on abortions after 12 weeks.

That’s why she got immediate care in Spain. 🙄

Spain's an exception and most of Europe isn't Spain. This will come as a shock to you.

This is just wrong. This is a medically needed abortion required to preserve the mother's health and possibly life due to risk of sepsis. Just about every country in Europe except some tiny, Catholic ones like Malta, San Marino, and the Vatican would allow them. The 12 week cutoff is only common for elective abortions upon request.

+1. Some people honestly don’t realize this happens to well-off white people who want their babies in modern countries. But they’ll find out now.

Pregnant women should now be careful about traveling to red states. They may well end up in this woman's position.

They had to, to get care, didn't they?

I just remember the day I miscarried a deeply desired pregnancy at 12 weeks. I was devastated. I cannot imaging having to fight to get medical care for myself and have the whole world need to know what was going on.

Cons cry about embryos but don't GAF about living, breathing children.

I mean, that is pretty damn obvious with the way they cling to their guns after babies get mowed down in their classrooms....

WTAF. No infant delivered at 16 weeks has ever survived. Period. No human infant.
