I am genuinely surprised he is still alive.
Why?

Are you serious? Do you know know that rappers are frequently shot at? Have you not seen a news item in the past 30 years?
Yes, I know this. And most of my favorite rappers who were "about that life" are still alive. Raekwon, Redman, Ghostface, Too Short, Dr. Dre, Scarface, Beanie Siegel, Cormega, Gucci Mane, etc. It was a legit question.

Like a lot of “badass” rappers from back in the day (Ice T, Ice Cube, LL Cool J, etc.).

Interesting that OP’s question was about Snoop, and this response focuses on “badass” rappers whatever the hell that means. These guys were supposed to shuck and jive for you into middle age?

Meanwhile The Rolling Stones are sponsored by American Express. Along with virtually every other classic rock band still alive and together. (Many of those guys managed to die early as well, without even being caught up in that crazy East Coast Weat Coast gang drama that nearly tore apart the country… )

Wonder what the difference is… oh right! The Stones and Bad Company and Skynrd and Van Halen and Ozzy and Kiss were all intersectional feminists known for their decades of respecting women.

I sort of can't help to like the guy.

He has lived a very different life than me, certainly. We are the same age and have both had families. I respect that he and his wife are together still (I'm divorced now). He is an interesting and clearly very intelligent person.

On the other hand, I don't smoke weed and have had zero gang involvement in my life. So I can't relate to that so much lol. But he's just one of those people that you can't look away from.

I didn’t read all the responses but have personal insight!

For a complicated reason, another woman and I had to go into his dressing room before a private show (but in a 930 club like venue so not small). We were both early 30s.

He was super nice and appreciative of what we were doing (helping with a problem). His dressing room was smoky and there were lots of snacks and candy around. I don’t remember seeing alcohol but maybe some was there. He was surrounded by what looked to be buddies. No women.

He offered to do a picture with us which we did. No groping, no hitting on us. And then he thanked us during his show, just calling us “two lovely ladies,” who helped him out.

He also practiced for at least an hour before the show.

So I came away with a very positive impression. Took his job seriously. Didn’t have a bunch of half naked women in his dressing room. Likes to smoke weed, though, for sure.

I do not think he is classically handsome, but there is something charismatic that attracts me to him. Kinda like Pete Davidson.

Really really appealing. Laid back stoner dude who has funny things to say. He's always really enjoyable to see on a screen. I've never seen him live.

^ Me again - I just remembered he did a guest spot on Monk once, even.

We need more details! What sort of problem? Can you at least give us the vague outline?

My guess is something important was missing from his rider.

I had a massive crush on him when he first came on the scene. That first Vibe magazine cover was fire!

Snoop is much, much more appealing than Pete Davidson. Not even in the same league.

I find hi schtick tiresome but he's harmless.
