It said they were relatives so that could be a cousin or sibling

It looks like he grew up in Arlington

TJ didn't have a lockdown. They secured the school which literally means staff and students are inside and they lock the exterior doors (normal) and don't let anyone in or out. We live in a very densely populated urban area. Things happen nearby schools so schools operate like normal but without students/staff/parents entering/leaving the building when there is police activity nearby. A lockdown happens when the threat is actually at the school. The robbery at the 7-11 prompted the secure the school. The lunatic armed family member trying to enter the school probably should have prompted an actual lockdown. "Good guys with guns" is a load of crap!

Yep. There’s a very good chance that had he made it inside, some poor teacher or staffer would now be dead because this self-appointed vigilante decided that was The Bad Guy. And undoubtedly the Gun Lobby that’s made “ The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun!” their mantra would quickly disavow any knowledge of how this could have happened.

As far as kids new it was a LOCKDOWN. all of us parents got texts from our children. I told mine to take it seriously because drills are always announced. If they had sent out a blast or announced to the kids that it was only a secure the school this would have all been avoided

It was definitely a lockdown, and it lasted for about 20 minutes. Then, the principal changed it to secure the building. People who were not there should stop saying otherwise.

It really doesn't matter what you call it. The experience of uncertainty, confusion, and fear is the same.

Not true. Even kids know that a lockdown means there could be an intruder in the school. Securing the building happens when something is going on outside the school.
