Like if you went to a soup kitchen or food pantry and volunteered would you expect that every other volunteer s going to be your best friend and talk to you! |
I’m sorry you’re so insecure and never matured beyond middle school. Must be hard. (and no, I’m not fat, so don’t bother with your predictable 7th grade retort) |
I’ve been on a PTA board and what I found was that the president often lacks reading comprehension skills and fails to read the bylaws, goes on a power trip and rules like a queen. The general membership also fails to read the bylaws and votes by emotion. I tried to get another school to avoid switching from a PTO to a PTA but they didn’t listen because again, ignorance and mob rule. |
I'd say you must have been at my school, but we have a PTO, and it was the same. Worse, actually, because the president and her besties actually wrote their own bylaws when they didn't like the old ones. You know, so many *rules*...... |
I am the other PP that said they went to private. I don't make the same mistake twice - if the PTA ladies there are mean, I'll never know it, because I don't volunteer for a damn thing. Ever. I didn't even join. |
This describes our PTO completely. However, the membership didn't vote at all. They didn't even attend meetings. That's one reason the president and her friends were able to get away with everything they got away with. |
