Do you consider state laws/health care access effecting your child when selecting college?

Absolutely!! My daughter was considering UT-Austen last fall but we ruled it out based on the healthcare legislation enacted.

Yes, absolutely I am considering those factors in all areas of my life. I have canceled a planned vacation to South Carolina and will not be setting foot in, or spending a dollar on, any area/organization that is in favor of forced birth. This is also a good moment to put my foot down and not have my recently born baby baptized to appease my ILs.

+1. We only have boys and I will still refuse to pay any money to any of these states. Unfortunately we live in Virginia so I don’t know how that’s going to go.

I agree. I was disappointed the previous thread was locked as it is something we think about, too.

Kids have similar views as us so they don’t want to go to certain states or areas of the country. For example, the south is out.
