Do you consider state laws/health care access effecting your child when selecting college?

+1. I can’t believe the stupidity of the posts here! And I’m a woman. All the draft opinion does is send back the matter to the 50 states! We’re no better off in the current formulation. If you don’t like what your state us doing you vote the guts out of office, move, or go to the state where you can get the procedure you want. This is not rocket science.

We are about to be stripped of a fundamental right we all held as americans for almost 50 years and maybe our daughters as well depending on how long it takes to fight this war once again. That is an outrage. Not something to just shrug off. You are weak.

Do you know what fundamental means or do you just insert where you want?

DP: I consider bodily autonomy to be a fundamental right also.

As does everyone who isn’t a misogynistic POS.

Wrong. It’s a right but not a fundamental right. No matter how much you want to believe or not. You can’t simply say something is a thing when it’s not.

It’s one of the most basic rights. To control your own body.

Getting an abortion is not controlling your body. Try again.

Forcing me to do something with my body against my will is a huge violation.

No one is forcing you to get pregnant apart from being raped.

There is no exception for rape. We will not be forced and we not have our daughters forced to carry unwanted pregnancies.

You are not forced to become pregnant, nor are your daughters. Is so, contact the police and report a rape.

We are not giving birth to unwanted babies and neither are our children.

Good, get on birth control.

Republicans are coming after contraceptives too.

I'm paying for my child to go to a school in California where the dining halls still aren't open and half the professors don't bother to show up to teach in person.

So I'm a good old D, but kind of wishing my child didn't go to college there right now.

So lots to think about.

Please tell me what school in California are you referring to?

No thank you to states trying to force unwanted pregnancies.

Birth control is highly effective and you can double up with a condom. You are full of excuses.
States are not forcing anyone to get pregnant. How can a state force an unwanted pregnancy. You and someone else are responsible for an unwanted pregnancy.

You are an ignorant a-hole who refuses to hear that there are many reasons that a women may not want to be pregnant. Many that have nothing to do with birth control.

Sit TF down until you are willing to listen.

Left to states to decide, does not mean a ban on abortions. You are part of the problem.
Go to cvs, get condoms. I can send their locations.

Human rights are a federal issue. No state in the US should be allowed to violate women's bodily autonomy because some religious whack jobs feel like it.

100%. My DD is thrilled that she doesn’t have to look at schools in Ohio although she still may apply to Indiana. We’ve got AZ, NM on lost and just added CA. Not just about abortion it’s about her not being able to get access to healthcare she may need and yes giving money to states that support this. In fact we’ll be canceling a few college tours and will let them know specifically this is the reason why.

DP: I believe in my right to decide not to have my body continue growing a fetus into a baby whether I was raped or not, whether my birth control methods were effective or not, whether the pregnancy endangers my health or not. I do not believe any 'mistakes' you believe I made force my body into growing a fetus into a baby. You cannot force your arbitrary religious definition that a fetus is an independent person on me. I'm 100% happy to let your beliefs govern all your decisions. Not mine.

Nobody forced a fetus into your body to grow.

Nope, my body grew it and I can decide if and when it will stop it.

Because when a woman chooses to stop a pregnancy, she should have safe, legal medical care she requires. Women die from illegal abortions, pregnancy, and childbirth. Lives are on the line. Lives of real life, living women. Who you don't seem to GAF about.

Misogynistic POS.

If you can decide then why are you concerned?

Legal abortions are not immune to women dying. Nice try on cherry picking.

Are there any good schools in Ohio anyway?

Most of the these red states have sh1tty colleges/universities anyway.

I can decide: whether to have sex, whether to try and prevent a sperm from fertilizing an egg, whether to prevent that egg from implanting in my uterine wall, and whether to allow my uterus to continue growing a cluster of cells into a fetus, and whether to allow the fetus to continue growing into a baby. It's my body doing all this all along (with the help of a sperm at the start) and my decision whether it will continue to do so. Basic right to control my own body.

You seem to think that abortion is birth control - FoxNews talking point.

If you actually knew anything about women/reproductive health, you'd know that there are many reasons why a woman may not want to be pregnant - completely unrelated to birth control.

So sit TF down until you can discuss intelligently.

How do you figure that I'm only talking about birth control? I said my decisions about my body include: whether to have sex (abstinence) "prevent a sperm from fertilizing an egg" (birth control, Plan B) prevent that egg from implanting (possibly plan b, abortion pills). The decisions I make then about whether to continue to grow the fetus can be guided by many reasons, including my health, the baby's health, or the failure of earlier methods. I would prefer not to have an abortion, and use birth control when I don't want to get pregnant, but it's my basic right not to be forced to continue a pregnancy. And I don't think basic rights should change depending on what state you are in.

I am not in favor of the roe v Wade ban, but to say that red states have sh1tty colleges shows how unintelligent you are. Knock it off with that nonsense.
