Once you live in LA you (if youre sane) stop caring. Also most of them are truly mundane humans, many desperate for attention, eyes darting around to see if anyone's noticed them, and it's a real turn off. I dont get the trend of people sharing mundane celeb encounters- most of them are boring, dull people.

Well that’s because you’re clearly superior to the rest of us plebes.

What’s with using th word plebes? It doesn’t even apply in this context. Is this a trendy word to use on dcum? Answer, you plebes.

It absolutely applies. “Plebes” just means commoner. PP was acting superior, as though he/she is not a commoner who idolizes celebrities.

No, that would be pleb.

It’s a colloquialism. Third entry: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Plebe

I don't know if DCUM will know some of my list, but here goes anyway.

Jeru the Damaga - We were waiting in line to get into a hip-hop show, I don't remember why he was hanging around the line to get in (he was opening) but he hit on my friend. She turned him down.
Gang Starr (both Guru and Premier) - hung out with these guys for a few hours, and Group Home was there too. Very cool, very down-to-earth regular guys. Speaking of Whitney Houston (the other thread) I'm reminded that we were discussing R&B artists we liked and Premier said he loved Whitney.
Vanessa Williams - Went to see her on Broadway and ran into her after the show outside of the theater. She looked very different up close.
Black Thought - Back in the day they used to play at the 9:30 club all the time and we went often. Happened to meet him after one of the shows. Really nice guy, very easygoing.
Lance Gross - Saw him in Starbucks. Didnt' talk to him but I should mention, He looks GOOOOD in person.
Citizen Cope - He was hanging out outside of his hotel smoking a cigarette. He looked disheveled, dirty, and grimey. His hair looked all frizzy and haphazard. His shorts were completely hanging off his a&&. I've seen interviews with him and he seems like a very nice guy, and he was pretty friendly to us (we basically just said hello and some other really small talk) but he should tighten up his look.

You know Jimmy Fallon's house band, the Roots? Black Thought is the rapper in that group. In the below pic he's the one standing next to Fallon with the hat. I can see why you might not know the rest.

He is ridiculously handsome on screen. Nice to hear he looks good in person too!

LOL, same here. I'm old. I wonder if she was as beautiful in person as she was on tv and in print.

I used to work in casting and PR so quite a few...

My favorites were Phliip Seymour Hoffman (RIP), Mark Ruffalo, and Peter Krause (Nate Fisher from Six Feet Under!)

Gwyneth Paltrow was SUPER nice and people are VERY surprised to hear this. I interviewed her and she was lovely.

Others..Marisa Tomei, Jude Law, Adrian Grenier (also a sweetheart, this was before Entourage), Emmy Rossum (filmed her audition tape for her big break), Tori Spelling...

These are all off the top of my head.

Oh ok. Yes, I know the Roots but I wouldn’t be able to pick any of the individuals out. I don’t watch Jimmy Fallon.

No. Be polite and leave them alone.

+1. Same. It’s pretty much a daily occurrence. Your first instinct is to think you know them from some part of your personal life and then it hits you they’re a celebrity. I smile if I make eye contact but always leave them to their lives.

I hate to say this, but she had a lot of craters on her face.
