Ethnic cleansing in Eastern Europe - when will the United Nations declare this a genocide?

They are barely picking up their own dead soldiers. They had control of the territory and did not bother to pick up their own, why would they bother picking up Ukrainians?

If this is true, one thing that doesn't add up is that Putin threatened retaliation on any country that intervened on behalf of Ukraine. Does that mean that Russia thinks Ukraine sympathizers are Nazis, too?

No the Russians have suffered heavy heavy loses and are looking to strike back. They can only strike back at civilians because of their incompetency. They are committing wars crimes. The west should be tracking and publishing the acts along with the Russian units and officers name and rank. The next stage of the war the Ukrainians will not be as nice to Russian prisoners. This war will spread to Russia.

Good. I personally hope we grind Russia into absolute dust economically and degrade their military capabilities for a generation or more. Make them an international pariah - continue all the current sanctions and impose more, no competitions for their athletes, limited diplomatic relations, make it corporate suicide to get back into the Russian market. I know the pundit class is all aghast that Biden would suggest that Putin has to go, but Putin does have to go and the sooner the rest of the Russian political and military elites realize that, the better. This was has to be the red line or the West will be dealing with Russia's crap while China waits in the corner and takes every advantage it can.

They retreated in a hurry. No time to cover up what they did. Also, it's a way to terrorize Ukrainians into submission.

And they left mines under them so whoever recovers them will get blown up, too.

And defecated on corpes.

But Putin is a genius and we should definitely ask him to give up "dirt" on Hunter. Oh, and who here still supports Tucker Carlson?

It's because a.) the Russians were in a hurry and b.) the Russian soldiers are barbaric animals who don't care about human decency even if they weren't in a hurry

Don't insult animals. Animals don't behave that way.

I'm still mad biden hasn't given the damn tanks and the migs (there is nothing on the face of this Earth that would cause me to vote for Trump, no buyers remorse). Ukraine wants to going offense good let's go arm them. I thank nine littoral combat ships are about to get decommissioned along with some cruisers... Why don't we just send them on over to Ukraine. Don't give one inch and take back Crimea.

All of NATO has blood on their hands. They drag their feet and are still refusing to enforce sanctions. I actually think Biden was one of the stronger advocates for supporting Ukraine. Look at Germany and UK. That’s not to excuse us for not giving maximum weaponry in the beginning. We doled out little by little, every day, waiting for the “strong Russian army“ to win, but it’s just a paper tiger.

Maybe now people will wake up and see that you cannot appease a tyrant, and apply the same thing to Trump. Ukraine is paying for our democracy with their blood.

Our stuff or stuffed we’ve somehow seized from the Russians? Because Mark Hertling had a thread about why giving them our equipment that they’re not trained on is the opposite of helpful (I’m sorry, I don’t care enough to go find the relevant thread).

+1. That was a good thread. But the Poles have the MiGs, and they want to send them. We are now sending the tanks they know how to use. I kind of think that these new revelations will break the reluctance to find a way to get the MiGs to Ukraine, as well.

Who committed these atrocities? It makes no sense that an 18 year old Russian conscript en masse would rape and torture women and children - it's baffles. Are there the Chechnyans or Syrians the Russians have called upon? Shame on Russia! Shame on Russians for not overthrowing this evil man.

Russian people are not going to overthrow Putin until violence is already in their cities and hospitals and homes.

We need to properly arm the Ukrainians. It’s criminal that we’re sitting here basically watching them get tortured and executed. I feel really guilty. We all should.

Ukraine needs to be allowed and enabled to fight this “war” (massacre) on Russian soil.

The 76th (Pskov) and 98th (Ivanovo) airborne assault divisions are the most likely suspects in the Bucha Massacre.

In which the Russia state news agency publishes an opinion that Ukraine is unviable as a nation, its elites must be "liquidated", and civilians must feel the "hardships" (i.e., torture and rape) of war.

Wow,.that means this was a strategy and they were ordered to. How hideous. I could see this coming from a Chechnyan or Syrian playbook, but for some misguided reason did not expect this from the core Russian military.

It wasn't just Bucha, more and more evidence of hideous Russian torture, brutality and war crimes being found in other cities as Ukrainian forces are finally able to re-enter them...
