+1 And it wouldn’t be because of the level of the university, it would be because I wouldn’t want to dare an evangelical Christian.

May be they only went because it gave merit scholarship or because it’s easier to get into medical school with less competition for GPA or counseling.

It’s not about bragging rights, common interests and similar background helps.

That’s the person in front of you. A resume is irrelevant.

George Mason has a higher acceptance rate (89.2%) than Liberty University which only accepts (50.1%) so it’s tougher to get in Liberty U.

Liberty has better financial aid and merit scholarship packages do probably 50% are there for economic reasons.

Liberty only has a 28% graduation rate.

Came here to say this. I would not date a Liberty Grad. No way.

I don’t care if everyone gets to go free. I still wouldn’t date someone dumb enough to choose that school.

My dermatologist BIL went there, pretty liberal guy who really shattered that stereotype for me.

Totally fair point – along with any of the schools like that. It has zilch to do with prestige or academics and everything to do with fundamental incompatibility.

I’m no snob, I went to a third tier flagship on a merit scholarship.

The woman immediately assumes they make no money and it's over. These guys don't mention that they are pulling down $150,000 or more annually, and own their own homes and cars. They say their line of work helps them weed out the gold diggers right up front. The woman who can look past their job title is a keeper, and they'll spoil her to no end.

You’re not making them sound particularly appealing.

Money isn’t everything for everyone.

sure, but I'm guessing OP asked this question for a reason, and that is usually financial.

I'm laughing because my family is diehard UNC and they'd rather I date a serial killer than someone who went to Duke.

I’ve met really repulsive and really awesome people from LU so not going to hold a decision they made at 17 against anyone if they did well after college but I would date for a while to get to know them well enough.
