LCPS: Admission results - Academies of Loudoun-AOS/AET results Class of 2026

Yes waitlist is moving. DS got accepted into AET. Next wave would come after TJ admission results are out. Someone on another forum mentioned it could be as early as end of this month.

My son was waitlisted for AET and was accepted yesterday, so waitlist is moving.

The next movement on waitlist will be when TJ sends out acceptances, rumored to be April 15th. After that, it will be by the close of TJ acceptance window.

Hello all,

My daughter is waitlisted for TJHSST, and so I was wondering whether the waitlists are decided per school or for the entire county?

Thank you!

I think they are supposed to have a certain amount of students selected from Loudoun, so does that make a difference for waitlisted students?

Anyone know if a student will be automatically removed from AOS wait list if they accept TJ?

Something like that hence the pending lawsuit. It totally discriminates against schools like Brambleton middle and favors schools like Sterling Middle.

Nothing stopping Brambleton families from moving to Sterling.

No, but it would be nice if you make a decision so that the waitlisted kids can get on.

You will be removed from AOS accepted list, so presumably you will be removed from waitlist as well.

If you accepts TJ, your previous acceptance of AET or AOS will be canceled. But I don’t think your AET/AOS waitlist will be cancelled. The reason is someone may prefer going to AET or AOS. If he/she is taken off wait list of AET/AOS, they may cancel TJ offer and go to AOS/AET instead. The best is to call AOL admission office to confirm.

DC and several of his friends were offered admissions of both AET/AOS and TJ. The county must have a lot of kids in the same boat. After the TJ deadline passes, more spaces will open up for AET/AOS and TJ.

Would they have to make a decision about TJ, before the spots open up at AOS/AET?

Sounds like you are saying AOS is OK with someone accepting TJ then attending AOS instead.
The cycle would be
Accepted to TJ, waitlisted to AOS
student accepts TJ
waitlist of AOS gets processed, student accepted at AOS
student accepts AOS
waitlisted TJ spot given to someone who accepted AOS
that student accepts TJ
AOS gives spot to someone on waitlist

I called AOL today. The admission office lady said the acceptance of TJ offer will remove previous acceptance of AOS or AET offer. However, one will not be removed from the AOS/AET wait list after accepting TJ offer.

Interesting. So you could have students that would prefer TJ but got into AOS and students who got in to AOS but would prefer TJ, and are blocking each other from getting accepted.
