What to read after Verity? There was a lot I didn't even like about it, but it's a page turner. What are your suggestions in a similar story style? With less sex

Before I Go To Sleep is so good!! It’s older but truly memorable.

Quite a few ppl mentioned Ruth Ware, and I’m not sure what I’m missing. I think her books are just average.

I thought The Silent Patient was very good.

Anything by Joe Hill, especially Horns and Heart Shaped Box. I think he’s got more talent than his Dad.

My three faves of last year:
I Don’t Forgive You by Aggie Blum Thompson
Eight Perfect Murders by Peter Swanson
All is not forgotten by Wendy Walker

I think Ruth Ware is just so-so. I've read a couple and while I want to find out what happens in the end, I haven't found the meat of the stories all that compelling.

As for thriller suggestions, has anyone mentioned Jennifer McMahon? Would her books be considered thrillers? I love The Night Sister and The Winter People.

I don't read this genre often so I may be a poor judge but Verity held my attention, was a quick read and raised a lot of interesting questions. I would recommend it.
