I like a good prude show by OP’s standards, but that show was nauuuuuuseating.

Foyle’s War
Second the Doc Martin (though it does show blood and blood draws; very little violence)
Miss Marple
Grantchester
Second the Poirot rec (the limited violence is stylized)
Second the Derry Girls; it is really funny (Michelle does swear a bunch but it’s funny)
Schitt’s Creek is surprisingly wholesome though it’s not without kissing
Community is absurdist funny
Arrested Development, too, though these last two might be a bit out there
Rick Steves travel shows

High five to my fellow prude people! I can watch sex and I don’t mind swearing, but I can’t with violence, especially rape. Noppity nope nope.

The lung cancer surgery and embalming scenes… shudder.

Greenleaf. There is some implied sex and just a smidge of violence, but the violence is occasional and it’s basically a soap set in a church-running family.

The notebook is perfect for her with James Garner

Darling, there was a 1980 UK TV version (possibly ITV but more likely BBC) of Pride & Prejudice!

Is that the David Rintoul / Elizabeth Garvie one?

Today's grandmas are women who burned their bras, smoked pot, marched for abortions and birth control, protested the Vietnam war, and created free love.

Wut the heck happened to those ballsy dames?

Total Doc Martin fan. They are filming the tenth and final season now in Cornwall, and I am drooling over the scenes trying to suss out the plot lines.

OP I was just thinking about you (and your grandmother) and I know you specified screen stuff, but does she like to read? Persephone Books might be perfect for her. They’re out of England, but they ship and are available here sometimes, too.
