Sorry OP but I don't take your complaint seriously. You and so many others like you support keeping HB Woodlawn as is when other high schools are over capacity. |
+1. You can thank your WL friends who were so worried about being rezoned to a SA school for fighting that. Go google some ARLNOW articles if you don’t believe me. |
do you actually know anything about what WL is like before spewing this anger? or is just "what you've heard"? |
I just noticed the dig against frisbee golf. That is some seriously misdirected anger! |
Who fought it? |
Hah, I was all over that, though I do prefer the Kenmore site. |
Yeah I had some empathy for OP until I read that, lol. |
Uh, no I'm the "turn HB into HS only" OP. I did the math and showed it would generate 300 high school seats without any middle school over capacity. |
No one knows what its going to be like, because they are just adding 600 students and a pile of classrooms in the Ed center without any clear communication of how they address such tremendous growth. |
Okay, I apologize to all the frisbee golfers. Just my experience is that it is a recreational sport on the level of yard darts, again not trying to diminish. |
Minor point but Ultimate Frisbee is =/= frisbee golf. |
More than a minor point, they are not alike at all, with the exception you play with a frisbee; and different frisbees at that. And different rules. Kinda like you could say that baseball and basketball are the same - both have balls, right? I would love to see the OP attempt to have even a fraction of the athleticism ultimate frisbee requires. It is a full body sport. I suggest the OP educate herself (himself?) before sneering at the sport. That is taking over all of Arlington. |
Some asshats in Arlington Forest |
Anyone zoned to WL in danger of being redistricted to Wakefield or even to Yorktown. Nobody wants to leave WL. They just want others to leave so the school isn't so big for their own kids. |
I don't know about frisbee golf; but Ultimate frisbee is a HUGE competitive sport at HB and is now at all of the high schools. |
