Thanks!

However, they only accept a limited number of students. Check the myschooldc data page.

Got an email today stating my child's GPA qualified them for an interview and it stated "This email is to confirm that you are invited to an interview for admission for the upcoming school year.".... more info will come between 2/11 and 3/10. I did not receive an interview date or time.

This was from Walls.

Interesting that you received an actual date. My chid received the invite to interview but without an actual date and said we would be an interview between February 11 and March 10. I have a student at Walls now, my understanding from her and her friends is that Walls did not get the same level of academic strengths of students through the process last year and they are changing the process, including spreading the interviews out ver a longer period. The email we received from Walls included a document with tips on interviewing and an invitation for interview coaching/practice interviews students can sign up for.

Yes -received the general "you made the cut" email and then a few hours later received the actual date and time.
I did hear they were changing the process for the top 500 but they haven't disclosed what is actually changing. Keeping this process in a "black box" yet again.

The lack of transparency about the process by Walls is dispiriting.

They are spread out because they have to interview a lot of kids and don’t have the Wednesday like last year with no classes. Don’t read too much into it.

I'm puzzled by this--we received a SWW interview date (a few days from now, at a time that we already had an appointment, with no apparent way to reschedule, but whatever), but we did not receive any interview tips or coffer for practice interviews. Did most others? I'm wondering if it was a mistake or they are only offering this to some kids,

So if we didn't receive an email by now, did we not make the cut?

THIS is interesting. Press on this. Ask the HSA and anyone else who might know. Why would only some kids receive invitations to practice for the interview? Hmmmmm. Something tells me it is an equity strategy that is probably a good one, but maybe not actually legal.

The materials were in the email that said you qualified for an interview with Walls, we have not yet received an interview date. The materials looked to me like they were sent to everyone and our child is not in any group that would be getting special treatment of any kind.

Did the email with an interview date come from the same person at Walls, I want to make sure I do not miss it.

Also, if you think your kid should get an interview and doesn't, be sure to email and double check.
Last year my kid with a 4.0 through 3 years at Deal did not get an interview and it was a clerical error.
