Trump's habit of ripping up documents

Thieves!

Have they checked Ivanka’s house? That woman seems cut from the exact same cloth as her father and I bet she wouldn’t think twice about running off with White House artifacts.

How is this even possible? The Trumps didn’t personally load the moving trucks. Surely there are permanent WH employees who oversee the move? The last of the personal belongings are usually removed while the outgoing President is attending the incoming President’s inaugural festivities. Who determined what got sent to Mar-a-Lago?

You think he limited his theft to his last day in office?

Uh, it’s hard to believe that’s a serious question, given that we’re talking about the most corrupt president in US history. But anyway, some career WH employee should have been supervising the move from start to finish. They don’t just hire some random moving company and leave it up to the movers to figure out what goes and what stays. You know everything must be catalogued. It’s not like Melania stood around pointing to which furniture pieces she wanted to take. Does this report about WH furniture going to Mar-a-Lago come from a reputable source? I’m not sure I believe it.

For fools who think an Afghanistan withdrawal under Trump would have been better than it was under Biden, this says it all. Trump consistently failed to plan and did everything he did in a haphazard, unorganized way.

Uh no. He really thought he was going to remain POTUS after losing the election. That's why they didn't even bother planning to move or have plans to pack up.

This is what I’m saying. I don’t think the thefts, if real all happened the last day, I think he just habitually took. I’ve never worked at the White House, but I have read about how the move out happens like magic. Every object associated with the White House is closely tracked, but Trump has spent a lifetime blowing up norms. I don’t doubt that he stole.

This. The documents were in the White House residence before he took them to Mar-a-Lago. They never should have left the West Wing.

NARA needs to come down hard on Trump or else they will lose all credibility with everyone currently in office or employed in the agencies.

I’m really curious how they got everything out of Mar-a-Lago. Do they have a police force? Federal marshals?

Aside - Mar-a-Lago is really annoying to type.

Mentally add a fanciful “go *uck yourself” to the end like that protest poster from early 2017; it makes it much more fun.

And OF COURSE that treason rat was boosting classified documents, too.

+1 NBC News has confirmed that DOJ has been asked to look into this.

Hence the referral to the DOJ.

Just so everyone is clear....Hillary had a few emails that were classified AFTER she had them on her email server and deleted them.

Donald ATE documents and illegally stole them from government property and retained them in a non-secure manner for ANYONE to access.

These are NOT the same things. Where are the "lock her up" folks?

Hmmm, maybe it wasn't about emails.
